virtual worlds
Virtual worlds built for real connection.
custom platforms | Various Clients
Since 2020, as the world rapidly shifted online, DOTDOT has been designing and building a wide range of virtual worlds for corporate clients, arts organizations, and cultural institutions. These platforms prioritize accessibility, offering intuitive 2D navigation that requires no gaming experience while still delivering rich, immersive environments.
With features like live video feeds, interactive elements, and playful layers of gamification, DOTDOT’s virtual spaces foster genuine connection and community—creating meaningful, memorable programming far beyond what a simple video call can offer.
Inc 5000 Marketplace
DOTDOT created the Inc. 5000 Marketplace, a virtual interactive sponsorship hub for the Inc. 5000 Vision Conference. The experience opened on Main Street, where attendees could meet, network, and explore sponsor activations housed in custom buildings and kiosks, including photo booths, golf, and trivia. Designed to foster connection and engagement, the Marketplace gave sponsors a dynamic way to interact with businesses across the Inc. 5000 community.
Fast Company Innovation garden
The Innovation Garden is a virtual world created by DOTDOT for Fast Company’s 2020 Innovation Festival. Designed as a digital gathering place, the garden offered attendees a way to network and interact much like they would at the in-person event. In the spirit of innovation, it also featured an activity where participants could plant and water ideas on themes such as social impact, creativity, and leadership.
the model experience
DOTDOT worked with the team at The Model Experience to create a virtual world for their New York City and Los Angeles events. Before arriving onsite, models could explore a digital twin of the venue and get fully onboarded to the fashion experience, including where to check in, how to navigate backstage, and tips for owning the catwalk.
Virtual wintergarden
DOTDOT worked with the team at Auckland Live to create the Virtual Wintergarden for the Cabaret season. The virtual venue hosted the premiere of Fine Fatale’s film Fever and a performance of Ngā 80’s by the Modern Māori Quartet.
Jalopy Theatre
DOTDOT created an online experience for the Jalopy Theatre that let participants virtually pop into the venue directly from their browsers. Through live video feeds, audience members could mingle in real time at the bar or out on the sidewalk. When the performance began, they were guided into the theatre to watch the live stream and share their reactions with emoji.
