Elephant In The Room

Hunters Point were the production team to bring to life Pharrell Williams’s Elephant in the Room, a forum for change in the 757 region of Virginia Beach & Norfolk. Held at Norfolk State University, Hunters Point managed all production including Run of Show, Environmental & Graphic Design, AV, Crowd Control, Logistics, Talent Wrangling and Venue.

Pharrell Williams had a timely vision for a wider conversation in his hometown, the 757 region: A forum of civic & corporate leaders, from the local & national stage, to engage in a discussion about realizing the full potential of the area. Despite time hurdles and apprehensive outsiders, Hunters Point worked with Pharrell’s agency, I Am Other to bring the Elephant in the Room Forum to life in record time and quality production, in line with the legacy they have built with Something in the Water. This one night event hosted hundreds of thought leaders and spotlighted partners like Commune x Crop Foundation that cultivate the next generation of entrepreneurs, business owners, chefs and more. With creative direction from members of his Yellow Foundation, Hunters Point manifested an outdoor networking experience that propelled dialogue and community into the night, and coordinated with diligence to respect the history of our host location, Norfolk State University.  The effect has been a resounding success from epic production, ripples of media & social influence locally and nationally, and a commitment that shows just how much Pharrell leans in to bring us all up together.
