March for our Lives

Four years after the Parkland school shooting, March for Our Lives marked their anniversary with a bold reminder of what has been lost. With no federal legislation passed and more than 170,000 lives taken by gun violence since the tragedy, the organization sought to make Washington confront its inaction.
Artist Dawn Dunning created 1,100 child-sized body bags, each representing the lives cut short. AVO, along with Rep & Repeat, supported the large-scale installation on the National Mall, laying the bags across three football fields to spell THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS in clear view of Congress, a message too large to ignore.
