Dpt. also developed a gamified visitor journey using RFID wristbands linked to personal avatars. As visitors move through the environments they activate installations, unlock hidden content, and earn species badges. Their collective activity feeds into the Biopool, where a suspended LED globe responds in real time to engagement across the space.
Together these elements form a unified digital ecosystem that transforms Exploria into a living, responsive environment.
Dpt. partnered with GSM projects to create the artistic, interactive, and digital experience for Mandai Exploria, a large-scale immersive nature attraction in Singapore.
Dpt. designed and produced 87 installations across five immersive worlds exploring Earth’s ecosystems, from prehistoric megafauna and deep-ocean bioluminescence to microscopic life. The work includes large-scale digital artworks, several hours of original 3D animation, and interactive systems that respond to visitor movement and presence.
